Students Celebrate Mass with New Archbishop of Baltimore On October 31, 2007, the Academy faculty and students attended mass in St. Ignatius Parish Church with the new Archbishop of Baltimore. Concelebrating with Archbishop O’Brien were Fr. Jim Casciotti, S.J., of St. Ignatius Parish and Fr. David Sauter, S.J., President of Saint Ignatius Loyola Academy. Archbishop O’Brien spoke to our students about the importance of choosing the right path—the one leading to an education, and a bring future. He used the example of Tiger Woods, to famous African-American golfer, to illustrate just how critical hard work is to success. Natural talent is not enough—even the greatest have to practice, and practice, and practice. Following the mass, each student and teacher had the opportunity to meet the Archbishop. Members of the parish were invited to a reception in Ignatian Hall.
