| | Seventh Grade Student Selected to Attend Summer Program at Phillips Exeter Academy
Chu-Chi Oka- Zeh, an eighth grader, and Curtis Stubbs, a seventh grader, were selected to attend Phillips Exeter Academy's ACCESS EXETER summer program. Phillips Exeter is a boarding school located in Exeter, New Hampshire known for its academic excellence. With their acceptances, they each received a scholarship of $6,250 to cover the Academy’s tuition, books and supplies. Curtis will study English literature, marine biology, and visual art in the Land and the Sea cluster of the academic program, while Chu-Chi will study physics, mathematics, and computer programming in the Problem Solving: An Odyssey of the Mind cluster. ACCESS EXETER is a program of accelerated study in the arts and sciences. It is geared toward students entering grades eight and nine, and provides them with access to the wide range of resources available at the Academy. The 120 participants share in a five-week partnership of cooperative learning and sharpen their skills of observation and expression. Students and teachers work together within the classroom and beyond.
