Graduation is not the end of the Academy experience for our students. Saint Ignatius continues to provide support to all graduates through their high school years and into college. Graduates in the workforce continue to view the Academy as home, stopping for visits, and engaging with their fellow alumni and current students.
When they graduate from the Academy, our alumni are not left alone to navigate high school and beyond. Through our signature Graduate Support Program, we stay in touch with our alumni through twice a year visits to their high school, monitoring their grades and touching base with their counselors. We provide free SAT prep classes, bus trips to area colleges and help with the college application and financial aid process. Graduates stay in touch with each other through the many alumni events sponsored by Graduate Support.
Giving Back to the Academy
Our students fully embrace the Men for Others concept while at the Academy, and it becomes second nature for our graduates. Some alumni support the school financially through gifts to the annual fund; others give of their time through service on committees of the Board or volunteering at Academy programs like summer camp, Career Day or speaking at school events. Our alumni are engaged citizens in their communities and are our best ambassadors for our program.
You Don't Need to Call Before Coming Home
Not a week goes by without a visit from two or three Academy alums. Recent grads stop by to play some hoops, and volunteer to help faculty with chores. They don't call ahead but just drop by, knowing they are always welcome.
Alumni especially love our graduate events including the Thanksgiving football game, alumni socials and the summer picnic. It's a great way to stay in touch, strengthening our bonds with these wonderful young men.
An Enduring Legacy
Ties to the Academy run deep. Over our 20-year history, many families have sent multiple members to our school, creating a lasting and valued family tradition.
